The Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, has recently released the list of National Planned Textbooks for Undergraduate Education during the 14th Five-Year Plan. Three sets compiled by the School of Foreign Languages have been successfully selected. They are

New College English Viewing, Listening & Speaking 4 (2nd Edition), chief-edited by Prof. Chang Hui and Prof. Jin Xia.
This achievement fully affirms the school’s excellence in textbook development and its strong expertise in college English education.

The two sets led by Prof. Zheng Shutang integrate ideological-political education and smart teaching. Revised over six years, they follow the College English Teaching Guide (2020 Edition), emphasizing ideological value, scientificity and modernity. Since 2001, the series has been widely acclaimed by teachers and students across China.

New College English Viewing, Listening & Speaking 4 (2nd Edition) compiled by Prof. Chang Hui and Prof. Jin Xia adopts a global vision and integrates Chinese culture and social progress. It focuses on improving students’ cross-cultural communication, critical thinking and public speaking skills, supported by interactive materials and the iSmart intelligent learning platform.
